How to Display Your Funko Pop Collection Like a Pro

You’ve spent time hunting, collecting, and protecting your Funko Pops—now it’s time to show them off! Whether you have 10 Pops or 1,000, a well-planned display makes your collection pop (pun intended) while keeping your figures in top condition.

At A1 Swag, we’ve seen everything from shelf shrines to wall-mounted wonders. So here are our best tips to help you display your Funko Pop collection like a pro.

1. Choose the Right Display Space

Start by picking a spot that’s clean, stable, and away from direct sunlight (which can fade boxes and vinyl). Popular options include:

  • Floating Shelves: Great for tight spaces or grouping by themes.
  • Bookshelves or Cubed Units: Ikea’s Kallax shelves are a collector favorite.
  • Wall-Mounted Pop Racks: Designed to show off boxed Pops face-forward.

2. Decide: In-Box or Out-of-Box?

This one’s personal! Some collectors love the mint-box look, while others prefer unboxed Pops for their full visual impact.

  • In-box displays: Keep the value intact and protect from dust.
  • Out-of-box displays: Showcase the figure’s full design and detail.

Tip: If you unbox, store the packaging somewhere safe just in case you change your mind!

3. Use Pop Protectors & Risers

Pop protectors are must-haves for serious collectors. They shield your boxes from dents, dings, and shelf wear. You can also add clear risers to your shelves to create tiers and prevent back-row Pops from being hidden.

At A1 Swag, we carry Pop protectors and risers that help elevate your display—literally!

4. Sort by Theme, Line, or Color

Organize your collection to make it fun to view and easy to expand. Try arranging by:

  • Fandom: Marvel, Disney, Anime, Star Wars, etc.
  • Box Number: Especially if you collect a full run from one line.
  • Color Palette: A visually satisfying and unique display style.

5. Add Lighting for That “Wow” Factor

LED strip lights, backlighting, or even spotlights can make your Pops stand out. Use soft white or color-changing options to create a collector-worthy glow.

6. Incorporate Your Personality

Frame artwork, add memorabilia, or integrate other collectibles into your Pop display. This helps your collection feel like a reflection of you—not just a shelf of boxes.

Bonus Tip: Rotate Your Display

If your collection is growing, rotate your display seasonally or monthly. Highlight holiday Pops in December or feature anime in the spring. It keeps your setup fresh and fun!
